I have died & gone to dress heaven.  Katie Ermilio's lookbook of her newest collection gives me butterflies in my stomach.  Her soft, feminine shapes make the model look damn good - & photography by famed Jamie Beck didn't hurt.

Weddin' Season

I have 5 weddings this summer/fall & am in need of some serious dresses for the pending nuptials!  My plan is to invest in 4-5 reasonably priced dresses & one or two pairs of shoes to go with all of them. Can it be done? I honestly thought it was impossible...until I strolled into Nordstrom's last weekend. They have a number of gorgeous dresses that are reasonably priced - unheard of (at least in my recent experience).  I always take inspiration from S&TC. Weddings are a time to wear flirty, flowy, silk chiffon dresses with ruffles & florets....or bright jeweltones (please no horrible cheap satin!!)

Navy, gold & a coral red are an iconic combination - one seen frequently on the streets of Boston. I think I have decided navy is my favorite color.  Navy blazers in the fall with chocolate brown boots & navy rompers in the summer with corals & kelly greens. My eyes (& inevitably wallet) are drawn to navy...& soon I fear it may become compulsive. (Let's just be thankful I don't have an affinity for the other navy - as in naval academy)

Design Crush(es): Emerson Made

There has been quite the buzz floating around about New England's EmersonMade. I adore the works of Emerson & her husband Ryan. This perfect couple left the bustling streets of NYC & headed north to New Hampshire (hello, obviously I am a fan - UNH whattup!) where they renovated / restored an unbelievable farm.  Enough about the house, I'll save that for another post - let's talk about their design!  New Hampshire meets Polo meets JCrew meets Anthropologie. I love it - & if you love it like me, I suggest you stock up on your favorite pieces before the prices skyrocket with their inevitable fame :)

'Tis The Season of Tassels

Tassels are everywhere.  They're such a classic element of accessorizing, I am pleased to see them back in style appearing on runways...rather than solely on my grandmother's decorative pillows.

Devon & Devon

I am drooling over the Devon & Devon bathrooms.  Made with the most superior craftsmanship & exquisite materials, it is mere matter of time before I start aching for a D&D bathroom / dressing room.  Let's face it, the bathroom/vanity/closet area of a home is a woman's sanctuary.  Devon & Devon mixes a modern flair with classic elements like the clawfoot tub.  Swoon. I am in love!
