It can't hurt that Scott's leading lady & growing family are the cutest things - Mason & Kourtney are by far his best fashion accessory.

Man of Impeccable Style
I'm sick of seeing poorly dressed men dawn the red carpet & parade around on tv. In my opinion there aren't too many well-dressed men in society - except Scott Disick. He doesn't have a stylist, no personal shopper, all of these looks are all.Scott.himself. I'd like to see more men in suits, more polished attire - & hell, MORE LOAFERS! (pssst, check out Scott's leopard loafers in the picture below!) How has he not graced the cover of GQ? Forget about his attitude & how he is portrayed on E!'s reality shows...this man exemplifies style.

Pretty Little Things
Wayyy back in the day, I fell in love with Pamela Hanson's work before I knew who Tim Walker was, before I even graduated from highschool. This woman is genius (well, her work is genius - clearly she needs a financial advisor but that's besides the point!) I would love to slink around all day in leopard-print lingerie & messy hair while Pamela shoots gorgeous photos of me. That would be a miracle. Not so much to have Pamela in my apartment, but the gorgeous photos part. LOOK at these girls. They're perfect in every way, & I hate them even more when I realize they're not even trying to look perfect!
I may just have to purchase one of Pamela's coffee table books. Looking at her work could keep anyone occupied for hours..

Rules.Of.Style
Know Yourself
What counts is how you look at yourself, what you should show & what you should hide. You have to spend time in front of a mirror. Very few women pay attention to that.
Use your head
My style corresponds to the image I have of the left bank woman who pays attention to what's going on in the streets, in politics, in the world. Clothing is also something that happens in your head.
Remember the power of black
Black is a magnificent color - it gives you an outline like a pencil stroke.
Add a little sparkle
I love accessories, bags, shoes, brooches, necklaces. I even like to have a crystal comb or a flower in my hair. If you're wearing a little black dress, a sparkling detail adds a simple & pretty touch.
Have a fail-safe outfit
It's important to have an outfit that always works for you, one that you know looks good when you are in a rush.
Learn the art of packing
I always travel with lots of long jackets, in black, brown, or navy blue, & matching trousers, then I mix & match the jackets & the trousers.
Let your feet do the talking
I love eccentric, quirky shoes with colors & very high heels that are gilded or extravagantly embellished with crystals. A pretty foot underlines a look. It's a way of defining a style.
Dress for yourself
Of course fashion is important, but I think the way you live counts for more. A woman should be herself & dress according to who she is.
Seduce with your style
It's very natural to be sexy, to be seductive, it's a way of being. You can do much by paying careful attention to your clothes, by knowing a length or a certain color that suits you.
Ignore other people's advice
You shouldn't ask for other people's advice, & certainly not your partner's. It's useless. You need to know yourself - that's enough.

Alice + Olivia
Alice + Olivia's new spring dresses are to.die.for. I am a big fan of silk sundresses, though it's not the most breathable fabric....anything is better than a "blend" fabric. If I had a liiiiiiiiittle more moolah in my budget under "expensive sundresses" - I would buy these in a heartbeat. Loving all the nude sandals & wedges...
*my apologies for the poor quality pictures...I blame bloomingdales.com!

Hello, & welcome to my home.
I WISH! Readers, meet McGill Design Group:
This is my entryway.
My luxurious bedroom filled with rich Egyptian Cotton & silk. (Everyone knows I DIE for an all white bed)
My dining room table where I'm having my girlfriends over for dinner...notice the Cabernet is getting low...
My living room, yes it always looks this nice.
Another view of my gorgeous bedroom with floor to ceiling curtains & oversized mirrors.
...How does one go about getting this house.....& these rooms. I guess hiring the oh-so-talented McGill Design Group would be a good place to start! Their work is right on point with my style...

Words.To.Live.By
I'm not sure if I have blogged about this quote before, & if I have - I apologize. I stumbled upon it a little over a year ago..& it has pretty much become my "life quote"...meaning, I took the time to write it down on a small card & tucked it into my wallet. If you know me, you know how cluttered my wallet & purses are, so you need to understand that though it's been in my wallet for a little over a year, I've only seen it a couple of times. While I don't know if this will ring true for everyone, I know it does for me. Everytime I find myself in a situation with a male..where my needs aren't being met, or I'm convincing myself to stay in the relationship - I read this quote to realign me. Granted this isn't happening on a monthly basis, but I think it's important to have words or a picture or something solid that can snap you out of a funk, realign your center - pull you back in from the stratosphere. (My amazing girlfriends also do this - but sometimes I can't bother them at 4 in the morning when I decide to have a meltdown). Without futher ado, my quote (for male related instances):
"If he were the right guy for you, there would be nothing in this earth keeping him from you. None of this 'not-over-his-ex' shit, none of this 'not-ready-for-committment' crap, no excuses, equivocation, or hemming&hawing. He would be there, & present, & totally excited about it. Don't waste your time if they're not"

Take Me On A Getaway
I have 4 weeks until I'm off to Barbados for 8 long luxurious days. In those 4 weeks I need to replace my "lost" (misplaced) passport & stock up on some fresh new getaway looks. Without having much time to peruse Newbury St. lately, (work - combined with the deathly cold weather Boston has had) my "getaway looks" currently amount to a big fat zero. I did however, find some inspiration from Anthropologie...they epitomize Caribbean vacations in my mind. Flowy garments with ruffles & bold happy colors.
How amazing is this look? The "top" is actually a bathing suit...please note: This is the first one-piece bathing suit I have ever fallen in love with. I would wear those pants...everywhere. Coming in from the beach...brunch...cocktail hour...bar....
Another one-piece...though this one is strapless. I'm not entirely convinced I can frolic around in the waves wearing a strapless one-piece...I'm pretty sure it would end up around my waist.
P.S. If anyone has been into Club Monaco recently...or perused their resort lookbook - I am very disappointed with the number of long silk skirts they have. I get the maxidress trend, I'm all over it (if it's in a breathable frabric where my undercarriage won't get overheated) but long silk skirts??? Come on! I'd like to cut every single one of them up into functional racerback tanks. Silk.don't.breathe.
